NERS is a scheme which is funded and centrally managed by Public Health Wales.
This scheme operates across all of the local authorities across Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. The Scheme is an evidenced based health intervention that incorporates physical activity and behavioural change, it supports clients to make and maintain healthier lifestyle choices which will improve their health and wellbeing.
To access the service you will need to be referred by a Health Professional. The scheme consists of a range of gym and class based activities for people to choose from and is designed to provide opportunities to exercise that are fun, rewarding and that can be incorporated into everyday life.
Once referred, you can access the service for 16 or 32 weeks, depending on the reason you have been referred and your condition.
